Hyderabad : ENTOD Pharmaceuticals on Wednesday said it has collaborated with Matanand Foundation for the National Myopia Week. The campaign, set to end on November 26, aims to increase awareness of the eye health concern, Myopia. The initiative is led by the Foundation in partnership with the Strabismus and Pediatric Ophthalmological Society of India (SPOSI).
Dr Srinivas Thatipally, Medical Director, Sri Shankara Nethralaya, said: “Pediatric Myopia has surged as a public health concern, evident in the increasing cases among children. Previously, two out of 10 walk-in children were diagnosed with Myopia, a figure that has now substantially risen. Approximately 35 per cent of children attending eye check-ups report issues like blurred vision and headaches, signaling the onset of high myopia.”
